By Train- There is no railway track available in Gangtok. So you have to borrow a train from Sealdah or Howrah Station up to New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP). At the station, you will get several shared cabs or taxis to reach Gangtok.

By Road- There are numerous direct AC buses available from Kolkata to Gangtok. You have to book those buses in advance.
